Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and baking, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality pastries. This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft a variety of laminated pastries and cakes in a professional kitchen environment, contributing to the overall success of our bakery and production.

Duties

Prepare and bake a wide range of laminated pastries, cakes, sweet and savoury according to established recipes and standards Assist in the development of new pastry recipes and menu items Ensure all baked goods meet food safety and hygiene regulations Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry section, including equipment and work surfaces Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies are low Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during busy periods Follow all health and safety procedures to create a safe working environment for all staff willing to help and train colleagues if necessary to maintain a good teamwork and standard across the estate

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or baking within a professional kitchen or restaurant setting Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently Creative flair for developing visually appealing desserts and pastries Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team Previous experience in culinary roles specialising in baking or pastry arts is highly desirable
