We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing a variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods, ensuring consistency and excellence in presentation. Responsibilities
Prepare and bake a diverse range of pastries, cakes, tarts, and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in food production and food preparation activities within the pastry section.
Ensure all baked items meet quality and safety standards, adhering to food safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry station, including cleaning utensils and equipment after use.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of desserts and pastries for service.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
Experience
Proven experience in food production, food preparation, or cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
Demonstrable expertise in baking, with a strong understanding of pastry techniques.
Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in a commercial kitchen.
