Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all pastries and desserts are prepared to the highest standards. You will play a vital role in creating delicious baked goods that delight our customers and enhance our restaurant's reputation.

Duties

Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, and desserts according to established recipes. Assist in the development of new pastry recipes and menu items. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations. Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during busy periods. Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure taste, texture, and presentation meet our high standards.

Experience

Previous experience as a cook or pastry chef in a restaurant or bakery setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary skills, and baking methods. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations related to food production. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A passion for baking and creating innovative pastry items that showcase creativity.

Pay: 12.40-12.90 per hour
