The Original Manor House Hotel on Dartmoor nestled in a secluded valley beneath the wild tors of Dartmoor National Park, Lewtrenchard Manor is a grand Jacobean manor is currently being refurbished to reopens in July.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in food production, ensuring high-quality dishes are prepared and presented to delight our customers. This position offers the opportunity for growth and advancement within our renowned establishment known for promoting talent from within.

Duties:
- Utilize culinary expertise to create delectable dishes from scratch using fresh ingredients
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation in alignment with quality standards
- Manage kitchen operations efficiently, including inventory control and ordering supplies
- Lead and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative team environment
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation practices at all times
- Collaborate with the Sous Chef and other team members to deliver exceptional dining experiences
- Step up to oversee service in the absence of the Sous Chef

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in culinary roles, preferably for a minimum of 1 year
- Strong background in kitchen operations, including food production and menu planning
- Proficiency in team management with excellent leadership skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high standards of quality
- Passion for the culinary arts and a drive to excel in the hospitality industry
- Certification from a culinary school or relevant training programs is a plus
