This freelance role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, creative kitchen at one of London's most exciting dining destinations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the pastry section, managing the preparation and service of all desserts, pastries, and baked goods
Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to develop and refine seasonal menus, specials, and bespoke creations
Uphold exceptional standards of quality, presentation, and consistency across all pastry items
Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and allergen regulations
Control pastry stock, ordering, rotation, and waste management
Mentor and support junior team members, encouraging a positive and professional working culture
Ensure pastry equipment is properly maintained and fully operational
About You
Experienced Pastry Chef with a proven background in a high-quality, high-volume restaurant
Passionate about patisserie, desserts, and modern British cuisine
Highly organised, with excellent time management and the ability to perform under pressure
Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures
Flexible, reliable, and collaborative, with a genuine team-focused approach
