Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join the team at Seventy Five at Liberty, a Two Rosette award winning restaurant located within one of London's most iconic department stores. Showcasing modern British cuisine with a focus on sustainability and locally sourced produce, the restaurant offers a vibrant and stylish setting where creativity and exceptional food come together.
This is a freelance position with regular shifts, ideal for someone looking to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment at one of London's most talked about dining destinations.
Key responsibilities
Lead the pastry section, overseeing the preparation, production and service of all desserts, pastries and baked goods
Work closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to design and refine seasonal menus, specials and bespoke creations
Maintain high standards of quality, presentation and consistency across all pastry items
Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures at all times
Manage pastry stock, including ordering, rotation and minimising wastage
Support and mentor junior team members, helping to create a positive and collaborative working environment
Ensure all pastry equipment is cleaned, maintained and in safe working order
About you
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a high quality or high volume restaurant
A genuine passion for patisserie, desserts and modern British cuisine
Organised, calm under pressure and able to manage your time effectively
Excellent knowledge of food safety, kitchen hygiene and allergen management
Flexible, reliable and a strong team player with a collaborative approach
Job Type: Freelance
Pay: 18.00-20.00 per hour
