We are seeking a talented and motivated Pastry Sous Chef to join the team at
Seventy Five at Liberty
, a Two Rosette, award-winning restaurant located within one of London's most iconic department stores. Our menus showcase modern British cuisine, with a strong focus on sustainability and locally sourced produce, served in a vibrant and stylish setting.
This freelance role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, creative kitchen at one of London's most exciting dining destinations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the pastry section, overseeing the preparation and service of all desserts, pastries, and baked goods
Collaborate with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to design and refine seasonal menus, specials, and bespoke creations
Uphold exceptional standards of quality, presentation, and consistency across all pastry items
Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and allergen regulations
Manage pastry stock, ordering, rotation, and waste control
Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a positive and professional working culture
Oversee the care and maintenance of pastry equipment
About You
Experienced Pastry Chef with a strong background in high-quality, high-volume restaurants
Passionate about patisserie, desserts, and modern British cuisine
Highly organised, with excellent time management and the ability to thrive under pressure
Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures
Flexible, reliable, and collaborative, with a genuine team-oriented approach
Job Type: Freelance
Pay: 18.00-20.00 per hour
