Pastry Chef
to join our team and bring creativity, consistency, and passion to our kitchen.
Role Overview
As Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and producing a range of cakes, bakes, pastries, and savoury items to a consistently high standard. You will also contribute to wider kitchen operations, supporting across multiple sections to help maintain the smooth flow of service during busy periods and events. This is an exciting role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, varied kitchen environment and wants to play a key part in our growth.
Key Responsibilities
Create, bake, and decorate a variety of cakes, pastries, desserts, and savoury baked goods to a high standard.
Support the Head Chef and kitchen team in preparing food for both daily service and outside catering events.
Work across multiple kitchen sections as required (e.g., pastry, prep, service) to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Contribute ideas for new menu items, seasonal specials, and event catering menus.
Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency at all times.
Follow food hygiene and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
Assist with stock management, ordering, and minimising waste.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure service runs smoothly, particularly during busy cafe service and external events.
Uphold the values of our family-run business by maintaining a positive, team-focused approach.

Requirements
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role within a professional kitchen.
Strong knowledge of baking techniques and pastry preparation.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of food hygiene, allergen management, and safe kitchen practices.
Creativity and enthusiasm for developing new recipes and ideas.
Team player with excellent communication skills.
A proactive and organised approach to work.
Driving licence and access to a car is preferable for off-site catering events.
