Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for creating a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. Duties

Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards. Assist in the planning and development of new dessert offerings to enhance the menu. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry section, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored after use. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and efficient workflow during busy periods. Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained in the kitchen. Participate in training new staff members on pastry techniques and kitchen procedures as required.

Experience

Previous experience as a cook or pastry cook in a restaurant or commercial kitchen environment is essential. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, baking methods, and culinary arts is required. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene is crucial. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A passion for baking and creating innovative dessert offerings is highly desirable.
