Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled PAT Tester Volunteer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) to ensure that donated electrical appliances are safe for sale. This role is crucial in maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations and ensuring the safety of our customers. The PAT Tester will also engage in valuing and pricing the items, putting them on sale and culling unsold items.
Duties
Conduct thorough PAT testing on a variety of electrical appliances to ensure compliance with safety standards. Maintain accurate records of all tests conducted. Collaborate with other PAT testers and the managers to ensure the Electricals department is kept filled with new tested donations.
Skills
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work as a small team within a larger team of volunteers. Knowledgeable in public health standards related to electrical safety.
