Job Description

Panoramix is fast growing IP legal services provider headquartered in Lincoln, UK but also with a presence in London and San Francisco. We have a need to recruit a PQ/NQ patent attorney with software and engineering expertise. The successful candidate will need at least 3 years' experience in private practice or industry and will be eligible to have taken/already taken some/all of the UK advanced patent exams and/or EQE.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work exclusively with direct clients across multiple industry sectors. It is important that the successful candidate is personable, confident, and willing to really get to know our clients.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to support a number of recent client acquisitions. The workload will include:

Providing invention harvesting support to a client in the FMCG space. This will include researching a technology and assisting the client's engineering teams to develop new inventions for the purpose of drafting invention disclosure forms for the patents team to take forwards. Drafting new patent applications for SME clients wishing to first file in the UK or US Providing a client in the telecoms space with US patent prosecution support Preparation of R&D reports to support Innovator Founder Visa applications Leading IP clinics to support new and existing clients in resolving their IP enquiries Undertaking IP audits under the Innovate UK IP Audits Plus scheme Novelty, freedom to operate, and landscape search and analysis Contributing to the firm's business development activities
The role will initially be home based but there will be an expectation that the successful candidate will attend our office in Lincoln on occasion. Business development will be an important part of the role and the successful candidate will be required to travel within the UK and internationally to suit the needs of the business.
