Are you passionate about animal welfare and enjoy providing excellent care to both patients and their owners? We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join our friendly team at our mixed veterinary practice in St Boswells.

About the Role




This is a full-time position offering a rewarding mix of patient care and client care responsibilities. You'll work closely with our veterinary surgeons and nurses to ensure that every animal in our care receives the highest standard of attention and comfort.


Your duties will include:

Assisting vets and nurses with patient handling and preparation for procedures Providing care and monitoring for hospitalised and recovering patients Supporting the team in maintaining clean, safe, and well-organised clinical areas Ensuring animals are comfortable, fed, and exercised as needed Communicating compassionately with clients about their pets' care and wellbeing

About You




We're looking for someone who:

Has a genuine love for animals and an interest in veterinary care Works well in a team and is confident handling a variety of species Is organised, reliable, and able to multitask in a busy clinical environment Communicates clearly and kindly with clients and colleagues Has previous animal care experience (desirable but not essential - full training provided)
