We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Engagement Lead to join our team at HMP Whatton, a catergory C men's prison located in Nottinghamshire.

days can be flexible
18.75 hours per week
Salary
This position is part time, you'll receive an annual salary up to 29,723 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Patient Engagement Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will
  • You'll act as a point of contact and respond to patient engagement enquires from staff, external partners and patients. Additionally, within this role, you will be responsible for the oversight and management of the health champion reps support model, including the delivery of Health Champion training across the region.
  • You'll be responsible for the improvement and stability of patient engagement activities and patient satisfaction through effective service user engagement and peer led forums, the planning and delivery of projects/programmes in line with patients' needs and priorities, involving patients (where possible) in project and training delivery.

Qualifications required
  • You will be required to have face to face engagement with patients as well as group facilitation/note taking when necessary.
  • Strong communication skills
  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good IT skills and IT literacy
  • Ability to work within a busy environment
  • Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment
