We are looking for a dedicated and detail-focused

Patient Safety & Data Technician

to join our Patient Safety and Standards team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in improving patient safety, governance, and professional standards across our pharmacy services.

About the Role




In this role, you will work closely with Patient Safety and Experience Pharmacists and wider operational teams to manage, investigate, and improve patient safety incidents. You will help drive continuous improvement by analysing governance data, developing guidance and procedures, and supporting regulatory and information governance processes.


You will also support responses to sensitive data requests and contribute to maintaining a strong culture of safety, compliance, and learning across the business.

Key Responsibilities



Triage, review, and investigate patient safety incidents in collaboration with Patient Safety Pharmacists Report incidents to NHS Accountable Officers and manage responses appropriately Draft and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and guidance documents Support the GPhC inspection process, including action plan development Respond to professional, legal, and ethical queries, escalating when required Develop training and support materials to improve patient safety standards Analyse governance and safety data to identify trends and recommend improvements Maintain internal databases, systems, and reports Support Information Governance and data protection requests, including SARs and Section 29 requests Contribute to a positive, high-performing team culture

About You




You will be a motivated and professional individual with a strong commitment to patient safety and governance. You will be confident working with data, systems, and stakeholders in a fast-paced, regulated environment.


You will have:

GPhC registration as a Pharmacy Technician A strong understanding of pharmacy regulations and relevant legislation Excellent IT and data-handling skills Strong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills The resilience and professionalism to remain calm and effective in challenging situations
