Responsibilities

Conduct routine patrols on foot or in vehicles across assigned areas to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards. Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergency calls, providing immediate assistance and coordinating with emergency services when necessary. Enforce laws, regulations, and community policies by identifying violations and taking appropriate action. Perform security checks using CCTV surveillance systems to monitor high-risk zones and ensure property integrity. Manage conflict situations with professionalism and tact, de-escalating disputes and maintaining order. Provide first aid or CPR in emergency situations until medical professionals arrive, demonstrating readiness to handle critical incidents. Document incidents thoroughly through detailed reports, including observations, actions taken, and follow-up requirements. Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing for theft or vandalism and implementing preventative measures. Maintain clear communication with team members and supervisors via radio or other communication devices to coordinate security efforts effectively.

Skills

Strong knowledge of law enforcement procedures and conflict management techniques. Experience with surveillance systems such as CCTV for monitoring premises effectively. Certification in first aid and CPR to respond confidently during medical emergencies. Background in military or security services is highly advantageous for understanding tactical operations. Excellent observational skills combined with the ability to remain alert during long shifts. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly while making quick decisions under pressure. Familiarity with loss prevention strategies to identify potential theft or vandalism activities. Effective communication skills for interacting professionally with the public, colleagues, and emergency responders.
