We are currently recruiting for a Pattern Cutter/Production Supervisor for a new manufacturing unit in Derby. This role will work closely with the business Owners as key member of the tea, pattern cutting and supervising/overseeing production.

The goal is to become a leading UK sustainable manufacturing and creative hub specialising in activewear/sportswear.

Pattern Cutter/Production Supervisor \xe2\x80\x93 The Job Outline

  • Oversee a small growing team of machinists and managing production capacity.
  • Allocating work to the machinists and managing timelines for sampling and production
  • Overseeing stock levels and ordering of stock fabrics, components, and hardware for the factory to ensure effective usage.
  • Work out ratings based on most effective fabric usage and time management.
  • Create patterns from tech packs
  • Assist in the development of prototypes and samples, ensuring accurate pattern cutting and construction
  • Help optimize patterns for production efficiency and garment fit
  • Participate in fittings and make necessary adjustment to patterns
  • Work effectively as part of a team, liaising with design and production
  • Grade patterns respecting the styling details and proportions
  • Oversee the processing of all sampling, pre-production, pre shipment samples as well as QC
  • Create, oversee and manage the critical path for development and production.
Pattern Cutter/Production Supervisor \xe2\x80\x93 Skills & Experience
  • Manual or CAD skilled apparel pattern cutter, with ideal min. 5 years experience within production environment.
  • Experience specialising in jersey/sportswear/activewear and a knowledge of sportwear fabrics would be advantageous
  • Positive thinking, dynamic, determined, self-motivated and more than happy to get stuck into all areas of the business where necessary.
  • A knowledge of costing and pricing structures
  • Previous experience of supporting/supervising a team.
  • Highly organized with an ability to multitask and priorities
  • Critical path management
  • Experience in working with Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills / team player.
  • Initiative taking and problem solving.
