Established in 1997, Cash Inn ltd is a family run pawnbroker and jeweller located in the Suffolk/Norfolk area.
We are looking to recruit a Full-Time pawnbroker sales assistant to work mainly in our Beccles store (but will also be working in Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft when required). Our vacancy is for 5 days per week Mon-Fri.
The role will cover a variety of responsibilities, this includes help with overall Shop Management, assisting customers with loans and sales, evaluating merchandise, handling transactions, and maintaining inventory and store appearance. This role requires strong customer service skills, numerical ability and knowledge of relevant regulations, along with the ability to assess items for value and handle both cash and card payments.
Whilst the job role includes multiple responsibilities, it must be noted that the individual will not initially hold any responsibilities unique to their role.
Responsibilities
Customer service:
Greet customers, answer questions, provide product information, and help customers find items.
Sales and transactions:
Process pawn loans, extensions, and item sales. Manage transactions, including handling cash and card payments accurately.
Item evaluation and acquisition:
Examine merchandise for quality and authenticity, assess its value, and negotiate prices with customers.
Inventory management:
Maintain accurate records of all inventory and sales transactions. Keep the sales floor organized, stocked, and presentable.
Regulatory compliance:
Adhere to all pawnbroking regulations, company policies, and procedures. Utilize provided training to support customers, understand their position and provide options that suit them whilst considering the vulnerability policy in place.
Store maintenance:
Supporting General Managers in day-to-day activities and ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the store.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
Experience in retail.
Gems/Jewellery knowledge and experience is favoured.
An understanding of grading different metals and pricing accordingly.
Excellent communication skills and time management.
Ability to work as a team and posses the ability to self-motivate.
Basic understanding of Microsoft office.
Basic understanding of online and eBay skills.
Attention to detail.
Basic mathematic skills.
Present a professional, positive, and welcoming image to customers
Ability to learn quickly and react to situations on the spot.
Valid UK driving licence.
