Position:

Pawnbroking Sales Assistant

Start Date:

As soon as possible (flexible for the right candidate)

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Saturday Work:

When required to work on a Saturday, a day off during the week will be provided.

Probation Period:

3 months

Bonus Scheme:

Eligibility begins upon successful completion of the probationary period.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assess and appraise items brought in by customers for pawn or sale Negotiate loan terms and interest rates with customers Maintain accurate records of pawn transactions and customer information Display and merchandise items for sale in an organized and appealing manner Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries or concerns Upsell additional products or services where appropriate Handle cash transactions and ensure register accuracy Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to report suspicious activity

Requirements

Strong basic math skills for calculating loan amounts, interest rates, and payments Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively Professional phone etiquette and strong communication skills Fluency in English (verbal and written) Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with keen attention to detail Honest, trustworthy, and eager to learn -- with willingness to train for future management opportunities
