Job Description

We are an independent fire safety provider based in Worthing, West Sussex. We provide a range of services to our mixed client base throughout Sussex.

We are BlueSky Accredited for Fire Door Installations, with all of our fire door installation work being undertaken to comply to the scheme requirements and/or BS8214. Ideally applicants will be familiar with both of these, but if not training can be provided.

We are forward thinking, dynamic and modern with our approach to work. We utilise new technology where possible to ensure efficiency and the best possible quality of work.

Due to continued growth and new contract wins we are looking for fire precautions installers/fire door carpenters to carry out a range of works across our clients sites.

The work will consist of the following: -

Fire Doorset Installation Fire Doorset Pre-Fabrication Fire Door Upgrades/Maintenance Works Fire Rated Cupboard Installations Fire Rated Cupboard Upgrades/Maintenance Works Fire Compartment Works (Stud Walls/Firelining)
Experience with fire related/specific works required.

The vast majority of the work is local to Worthing, but we do cover the entirety of Sussex including Chichester, Horsham, Brighton, Eastbourne, Crawley and surrounding areas.

You will require your own tools, specific to fire precaution works such as routers, mastic gun, impact, combi, SDS etc, we will provide consumables such as router bits/drill bits etc.

We will provide a company van, uniform and fuel card.

You will need to be able to work independently to carry out a range of works, including but not limited to: -

Fabrication of fire door assemblies in our new state of the art workshop

Cutting, scribing and installing architraves and skirting

Removal and re-installation of door linings and frames

Firestopping door lining/frame to wall gaps in accordance with BS8214

Installation of pre-hung fire doorsets

Remedial works, including routing intumescent strips, recessed drop seals, installation of closers, signage, firestopping, frame to leaf gap adjustments etc.

This work requires an eye for detail, precision and high standards throughout.
