Key Responsibilities:
Process and allocate incoming payments accurately and promptly
Reconcile customer accounts, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded
Monitor daily bank receipts and support the finance team in cash flow management
Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and unallocated cash
Work closely with the credit control, billing, and customer service teams to maintain accurate customer account data
Assist in the preparation of month-end reports and reconciliations
Support continuous improvement in payment and reconciliation processes
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience in a payments administration, accounts receivable, or finance support role (1 years' experience essential)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation
Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial systems or accounting software
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
A proactive, team-oriented attitude
Experience in the utilities or water sector is advantageous but not essential
