We have an exciting opportunity to join our team at the home of the UK's fastest growing value retailer, with over 115 stores nationwide.
This is a permanent position working closely with Finance Director in production of payroll in a multi-site organisation. Opportunity to grow with the role in ever expanding business and have an influence on HR Administration processes as they develop.
Responsibilities:
Standalone end to end payroll processing for approx. 1,800 employees
Compiling payroll data and producing payroll reports in line with Business requirements.
Timely and accurate administration of payroll changes
SSP, SMP, SPP calculation
Balancing and submission of pension contributions
Full understanding pensions regulations in line with Automatic Enrolment
Maintaining employee records within Sage Payroll in line with contract changes
Query resolution - investigation and solving of payroll discrepancies.
HMRC reporting - RTI, P11d etc
Monitoring and maintaining Payroll email inbox - ensuring issues are resolved/escalated where necessary.
Other tasks as required as befits the role and development.
Person specification:
At least 2 years end to end payroll experience
Sage 50 payroll experience is advantageous
Good understanding of statutory payments and deductions
High Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work on own initiative, hitting deadlines in line with payroll calendar
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, specifically V Lookup, Pivot etc.
