23,952.00 based on 37 hours per week.

Actual annual salary:

12,947.03 based on 20 hours per week.

The Disability Resource Centre is currently looking for a Payroll Administrator to provide a full payroll service and managed accounts to our Direct Payments/Personal Budget recipients.

Your main duties will include, but are not limited to:



Payroll Systems



Setup of payroll records for employers from information provided including HMRC registration, contracts, and payroll file Accurate weekly input of all detail from payroll user timesheets to payroll system Calculation and recording of associated payroll detail for each employer (employee hours, payment, tax, NI, holidays, expenses etc.) Timely creation of payslips for all service user employees Submitting pension contributions Generation of accurate HMRC documentation for employer including quarterly payments information and year-end completion and documentation. Year-end archiving

Holding Accounts/Accounts Payable:



Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness in administering and managing holding accounts (managed accounts) on behalf of service users receiving personal budgets from contracted Local Authorities Batching and processing invoices, reconciling statements, payment runs, bank reconciliations, monitoring credit and debt

Administration



Managing incoming telephone calls, emails, and direct enquiries from payroll users Maintaining complete and accurate payroll files for each employer Providing information to local authority finance teams for audit Assisting in collating statistics for contract reporting Providing administrative support to Holding Accounts team on Payroll issues - payslips, employee and HMRC payments Assistance with Payroll mailshot preparation and production as required Assistance with invoicing processes for chargeable services including creation of a summary of payroll provision by employer Assisting with general clerical duties when necessary Liaise with HMRC and other 3rd party organisation when he need arises.

General



Close liaison with DP/PB support workers and holding accounts staff on payroll matters Researching and delivering appropriate payroll advice to service users where requested Developing the role to meet the needs of the service Undertaking other tasks and responsibilities appropriate to the role

Adhere to Data protection, data retention, GDPR, and Freedom of information requirements

Skills



Minimum 1 year experience of working within a busy payroll environment Experience in accurate inputting of information into payroll-based systems Working knowledge of HMRC regulations and systems Maintaining accurate and accessible filing systems Utilising MIS/CRM systems Previous experience of working in a Bureau Experience of working with BrightPay UK Payroll system Experience of working with Xero accounting systems Experience of producing financial reports
