We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. This position requires a strong background in payroll and pension software, along with excellent data entry skills. The Payroll Administrator will collaborate closely with various departments to maintain payroll records and support the overall HR function.
Responsibilities
To assist in the running of several monthly and weekly payrolls across multi sites based in the UK, working closely alongside an additional payroll assistant, reporting into the Head of HR. Ensuring that payroll is processed to clear on the scheduled payroll date. Planning cover during payroll team absences and bank holidays.
Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Collecting, recording and calculating clock times for factory based employees from each site's designated administrator (usually HR).
Recording and actioning all DEA's, deductions, loans
Processing and submitting Pension reports for all sites
Maintain employee records in the HRIS, updating personal information, pay rates, and benefits as necessary.
Conduct data entry tasks related to payroll, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
Performing Back Up, Payslip distribution and FPS submissions
Assist in the reconciliation of payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.
Processing payroll year end including p60's
Processing p11d's
Assisting with employee payroll related queries
Helping to consolidate gender pay gap reporting stats
Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure timely processing of payroll-related transactions.
Generate reports on payroll metrics for management review, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.
Support audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries regarding payroll processes.
Stay informed about changes in legislation affecting payroll and implement necessary adjustments to policies or procedures.
Requirements
Proven strong experience in a payroll administration role
Proficiency in HRIS systems
Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage 50 payroll.
Strong data entry skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks performed.
Ability to analyse data effectively and provide insights based on findings.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with colleagues across departments.
