We are recruiting for a Payroll Administrator on a permanent basis for a forward-thinking specialist payroll software organisation based in Glasgow City Centre.

Monday to Friday 9am-5pm within a modern office setting.

Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for employees. This position requires a strong understanding of payroll systems, data entry, and human resources practices. The Payroll Administrator will collaborate with various departments to maintain compliance with regulations and support the overall financial health of the organisation.

Responsibilities



Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Maintain and update employee records within the HRIS system, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. Perform data entry tasks related to payroll, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status. Assist in the preparation of reports for management analysis, including payroll summaries and labour cost reports. Collaborate with the human resources department to ensure alignment between payroll processes and HR policies. Handle inquiries related to payroll from employees and management in a professional manner. Support accounts payable functions as needed, ensuring seamless integration between payroll and financial systems. Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, or Workday for efficient payroll processing.

Experience



Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role within human resources or accounting departments. Proficiency in HRIS systems and accounting software; familiarity with QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, or Workday is highly desirable. Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to analyse payroll data effectively to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with employees at all levels of the organisation.
