part-time, permanent

position offering

30 hours per week

As a Payroll Administrator, you will be a vital member of our HR team, ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of payroll for our valued employees. Your attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, and dedication to maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information will be highly valued in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with HR and finance teams to process employee payroll accurately and on time. Maintain and update employee payroll records, ensuring data integrity. Handle starters, leavers, and changes to terms of employment. Manage time and attendance data, resolving discrepancies. Calculate holiday pay, SSP, SMP, and other statutory payments. Produce payroll reports and payslips. Respond promptly and professionally to employee payroll inquiries. Assist in preparing and verifying payroll reports and tax filings. Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation and GDPR. Support HR team with various administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in payroll processing or related field preferred, but it is not essential as full training will be provided. Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel. Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy. Strong organisational and time management skills. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with Sage 50 payroll software is a plus.
