. As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for managing the full payroll cycle, handling statutory payments, and supporting pension and financial reporting processes.

Responsibilities:



Process and review payroll from start to finish, ensuring all deadlines are met Perform manual calculations for SSP, SMP, Tax, NI, and overpayments Support year-end processes including P11D/P9D production Maintain a strong understanding of RTI and auto-enrolment procedures Collect and process weekly timesheets and manage absence records accurately Respond to staff queries regarding pay, absences, and timesheets, escalating as needed Independently manage UK payroll processes and handle ad hoc payroll tasks Process statutory payments, attachment orders, and deductions through benefit schemes Provide pension-related administrative support Manage new starters, leavers, statutory leave and pay processes Reconcile fixed pay instructions such as salary changes and uplifts Prepare payroll journals and submit required data to finance for accurate reporting

Requirements:



Proven experience in payroll administration, ideally within a care or healthcare setting Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements Proficiency in manual payroll calculations and payroll software systems Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and management Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development

Salary:

26,000 to 29,000 per annum, depending on experience.
