Are you looking to build your career in a fast paced Payroll Team?



WFS are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our Payroll team. The ideal candidate will have experience in accurate payroll processing, compliance with HMRC regulations and maintaining financial records.



This role is responsible for various payroll administrative duties, assisting with processing an in-house payroll. You will be focussed on ensuring all employees are paid accurately, on-time and every time.###

Key Responsibilities





Assisting employees with payroll queries. Inputting statutory changes onto the payroll system, new starter forms, student loan notices and attachment of earnings and court orders. Manually calculating hours and other statutory payments - SSP / SMP / SPP. Assisting with payroll accounting entries and preparing payroll journals. Running reports of payroll data in excel. Monitoring the payroll inbox and dealing with queries in a timely manner. Liaising with Operations, HR dept and payroll bureau. Checking of auto-enrolment of pension and providing information for payment. Deputising for the Payroll Supervisor in their absence. Carrying out any other tasks deemed necessary and reasonable by the company.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise





Meeting challenging deadlines. Understanding of payroll process. Understanding and intermediate knowledge of excel. Strong attention to detail. Ability to be discreet with payroll data. Knowledge of GDPR. Good team player. Able to prioritise own workload. Previous knowledge of working with computerised payroll systems. Dealing with all queries in a professional and timely manner.
