Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accuracy in data entry, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires proficiency in Sage 50 Payroll and Nest Pension.

Responsibilities



Process various payrolls accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with companies policies and legal requirements. Perform data entry tasks related to payroll, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status. Analyse payroll data to identify discrepancies or issues and resolve them promptly. Maintain accurate records of employee hours worked, leave taken, and other relevant payroll information. Utilise accounting software such as Sage 50, Xero. Processing Pensions on Nest, Peoples' Pension and Creative Auto. A knowledge of CIS, including submitting onto HMRC website. Generate reports on payroll metrics for management review and analysis.

Requirements



Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role within an accounting or finance department. Strong knowledge of payroll procedures and relevant legislation. Proficiency in accounting software, Sage 50 and Xero. Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to analyse financial data effectively and provide insights where necessary. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with clients at all levels. A background in human resources is advantageous but not essential.
