We are looking for a reliable and detail-driven Payroll Administrator to join our team. This role is key to ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time, with full compliance to company policies and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full payroll process for all employees, including salaries, bonuses, holiday pay, and sick pay
Collect, verify, and process weekly working hours from managers and employees
Ensure payroll is processed in line with agreed deadlines and legislative requirements
Maintain accurate employee payroll records and respond to payroll queries in a timely manner
Prepare reports for finance and management as required
Work closely with HR and line managers to ensure changes such as new starters, leavers, and contract amendments are processed correctly
Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and company policies at all times
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a payroll role, ideally within a fast-paced environment
Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, including statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.)
High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
Strong numeracy and IT skills, including proficiency in Excel and payroll systems
Ability to work confidentially and handle sensitive information with discretion
Good communication skills to deal effectively with staff across all levels
