We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll systems and accounting software, as well as excellent analytical skills to support data-driven decision-making.
Duties
Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time, utilising systems such as Workday or PeopleSoft.
Perform data entry for payroll-related information, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status.
Manage accounts payable related to payroll transactions, ensuring proper documentation and approvals are in place.
Conduct regular audits of payroll data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
Collaborate with the Human Resources department to ensure alignment between payroll processes and HR policies.
Prepare reports and analysis on payroll metrics for management review, providing insights into trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role with a strong understanding of payroll procedures and regulations.
Proficiency in using payroll software such as sage or other relevant accounting software.
Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively.
Familiarity with accounts payable processes and financial reporting is advantageous.
Knowledge of human resources practices related to payroll administration is preferred.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
