At The Mead Educational Trust, we have a new position open for a Payroll and Reward Officer to join the friendly central team, providing effective support to the Payroll and Reward Manager.


Job overview




To manage and oversee the administrative end-to-end process of the Payroll function - including data maintenance, monthly approvals, control checks, reconciliation activity and being the main point of contact for our third party payroll administrators and the payroll system.

Job requirements




+ C Grade GCSE (or equivalent) or above in English and Maths (Essential) + High level ICT skills, relevant to the role (Essential)
+ Competent in the use of Microsoft Office (especially excel) and other software as required.(Essential)
+ Recognised financial qualification at least AAT level 4 (Desirable)
+ At least 3 years' experience of working in a finance environment (Essential)
+ Experience of dealing with finance enquiries from staff and suppliers (Essential)
+ Experience in the use of IT finance packages. (Essential)
+ Experience of working within an academy/college environment (Desirable)


As our Payroll and Reward Officer, you'll be able to take pride in contributing towards key administrative support of the central payroll function to ensure daily administrative operations run smoothly. You'll have access to training and professional development opportunities within this post, building on key skills to ensure you have a comprehensive and full working knowledge of relevant tasks required.


This is a part time post, at 32.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year or alternatively 37 hours per week, term time plus 2 weeks (salary will be determined accordingly)


Interviews for this post will take place in October.
