Job Summary
We are looking for a Payroll Assistant to support the payroll team with the accurate and timely processing of monthly payrolls. This is a busy, detail-focused role working with high volumes of employee data.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting monthly payroll runs (salary, hourly and exceptions)
Processing starters and leavers and maintaining employee records
Updating payroll systems (Sage 50) and time & attendance system (Timegate)
Assisting with sickness, statutory payments and pensions administration
Responding to payroll queries and supporting general payroll administration
Maintaining accurate spreadsheets and payroll records
About you:
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
Confident using Excel and payroll systems (or keen to learn)
Able to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Previous payroll or administration experience desirable
