Hybrid (2 days in our Support Office is based in Handforth or DC in Stafford / 3 days WFH )

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented

Payroll Assistant

to join our dynamic Payroll Team, supporting over

10,000 colleagues

across our Support Office, Stores and Distribution Centre.

What you'll be doing:



Processing accurate and timely payroll across multiple payrolls on a four-weekly cycle Handling manual calculations, RTI submissions, and statutory entitlements (SSP, sick pay, etc.) Managing deductions (AOE, CSA), P45s, new starter checklists, and P11Ds Resolving payroll queries with professionalism and care Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless service Supporting process improvements and generating essential reports

What we're looking for:



Previous experience in payroll administration within an office environment Understanding of current payroll legislation High attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication skills - both written and verbal Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Trustworthy and discreet with confidential information (GDPR compliant) A positive, can-do attitude and a passion for teamwork

Desirable (but not essential):



Experience with SAP payroll systems CIPP Payroll Technician qualification
