We're looking for an entry level

Payroll Assistant

to join our friendly and supportive payroll team. If you're organised, detail-oriented and eager to learn, this is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in payroll. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Key Responsibilities





Assisting with the processing of weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls Uploading payslips and payroll data to secure online platforms (e.g., Sage) Helping to maintain and update employee records with accuracy Supporting the team with reporting tasks and submissions to HMRC Uploading pension information to the appropriate providers Learning to handle payroll queries and provide basic guidance to clients Assisting with manual calculations and understanding statutory payments Learning about deductions such as tax, National Insurance, pensions, and student loans Gaining an understanding of CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) submissions


Skills, Knowledge & Expertise





Keen to start a career in payroll or finance Organised and committed to accuracy Comfortable handling numbers and learning new software systems Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other IT tools A good communicator who enjoys working in a team Eager to grow in a supportive environment Experience using SAGE Payroll or working in an office setting is desirable
