Payroll Assistant



We are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Payroll Assistant who has a high level of accuracy and attention to detail and has a flexible and adaptable approach to working. As the Payroll Assistant, you will support the Payroll Manager and play a key part in providing an accurate and timely payroll service for approx. 1000 employees across all schools within the trust, ensuring that deadlines are met for all payroll related activities. The successful candidate will be working at our central office alongside an experienced, professional and supportive finance team.

The successful candidate will have:



Minimum of 2 years Payroll experience (within a school/ similar environment- desirable) High level of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent organisation, prioritisation, and administration skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent IT skills Flexible and adaptable approach to working Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines with a common-sense approach. Ability to work as part of a team and also able to work on own initiative and use own judgement to problem solve.

Contract:

Permanent, Office based (Central Office at The Vale Academy LU5 4QP), Full Time or Part Time, 52 weeks per year
