KPP Chartered Accountants is a growing independent practice supporting UK SMEs and owner-managed businesses. We are recruiting an experienced Payroll Assistant / Payroll Administrator to manage a portfolio of client payrolls within a professional accountancy practice environment.
This role is suited to someone with payroll bureau or multi-client payroll experience who can work accurately, manage deadlines and deal confidently with client queries.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-end processing of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls
Managing a portfolio of multiple client payrolls
Sage Payroll processing and document uploads
Manual payroll calculations (tax, NIC, pensions, student loans, attachments)
Submitting RTI and statutory returns to HMRC
Pension uploads and auto-enrolment compliance
CIS monthly returns and CIS suffered submissions
Payroll reporting, reconciliations and audit trails
BACS payment processing
Client support on PAYE, tax codes, statutory payments and deductions
Required Experience & Skills
Previous experience in a payroll bureau or multi-client payroll environment (essential)
Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation, RTI, pensions and CIS
Experience using Sage Payroll or similar payroll software
Strong Excel skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple deadlines independently
Professional communication skills
