The opportunity

As an Associate Director at Azets, you will have the ability and motivation needed to: Support the Payroll National Service Line in developing and maintaining adequate controls and compliance for payroll service delivery to clients. Continually review and improve Payroll National Service Line ways of working by analysing proposed changes. Mitigate risk to service delivery using the risk register and incident reporting. Work with payroll colleagues across all levels of the Payroll National Service Line.

Day to day duties

Play a pivotal part in supporting our payroll compliance and exposure to risk with the Payroll National Service Line. Manage legislative and procedure updates and ensure payroll teams are complying with both this and the current processes and procedures. Liaise with the Director of Payroll Controls and Compliance and have line management responsibility for the payroll controls & compliance team members. Review compliance and noncompliance across the Payroll National Service Line. Effective communicator who is confident in liaising with staff both on site and remotely using video-conferencing and other technology. Recommend new or make changes to processes where required. Responsible for identifying, analysing, and documenting any weaknesses and making recommendations to address these and to add value. Have a key role in formulating strategies for risk and control management.

What are we looking for?

Experienced payroll professional. Proven practice in designing and implementing controls to mitigate risk. Confident understanding of key risks of non-compliance based on your experience and knowledge of best practice. Experience in payroll incident investigation, providing recommendations, and managing the implementation of recommendations.
