The position


At RES, we're powered by purpose and by the people who bring it to life. We're looking for a Payroll Coordinator to support accurate and timely payroll delivery for the Northern Region. This role is critical in ensuring compliance, data integrity, and a seamless employee experience.

Working closely with the Regional Payroll Manager, you will manage day-to-day payroll activities using Cloud Pay software, ensuring all processes meet internal standards and local legislative requirements.
In addition to supporting with payroll delivery, you'll be responsible for advising employees on best practice, and ensuring internal processes are followed. You'll play a key role in supporting the employee experience through timely and accurate payroll delivery and query management. The ideal candidate will have substantial payroll experience combined with practical knowledge of working with payroll processes, systems, and compliance requirements.

Accountabilities:


Payroll Processing & AdministrationExecute end-to-end payroll for the Northern Region, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Validate and input payroll data including new hires, terminations, benefits, and deductions Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies promptly

Systems & Data ManagementMaintain payroll data within Cloud Pay, ensuring integrity and confidentiality Support system updates, testing, and troubleshooting in collaboration with the Regional Payroll Manager Assist in automation and process improvement initiatives

Compliance & GovernanceEnsure adherence to local tax laws, statutory filings, and company policies Maintain accurate records for audits and reporting requirements Stay informed on legislative changes impacting payroll

Stakeholder SupportRespond to employee and manager payroll queries with professionalism and clarity Collaborate with P&C and Finance teams to ensure seamless data flow and reporting

Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in payroll administration, ideally within a multi-site or regional environment Hands-on experience with Cloud Pay or similar global payroll platforms Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Proficiency in MS Excel and ability to work with large data sets Strong communication skills and ability to manage sensitive information

Qualifications:

Payroll certification or equivalent experience preferred Knowledge of employment law and tax regulations in the region Experience in process improvement and system optimisation desirable
