This is a part-time position. The advertised salary is based on a full-time equivalent (FTE) of 24,000 - 27,000 per annum, depending on experience and will be applied pro rata according to hours worked

Job Summary:




We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Co-ordinator to support the accurate and timely processing of a monthly payroll. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing time and attendance data, processing employee payments, maintaining payroll records, and assisting with payroll-related queries. This role requires a high level of accuracy, discretion, and understanding of payroll systems and compliance requirements.


Key Responsibilities:




Process a full monthly payroll run using fourth payroll software. Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions. Maintain and update employee payroll records, including tax codes, benefits, and bank details. Respond to payroll queries from employees in a timely and professional manner. Assist with statutory reporting including PAYE, National Insurance, pensions, and other deductions. Support year-end processes including the preparation of P60s, P45s, and other relevant documents. Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure employee data accuracy. Process monthly pension contributions through NEST meeting payment deadlines Ensure payroll procedures are compliant with current laws and regulations. Assist with audits and reconciliation of payroll accounts as required. Process payments relating to government orders in a timely manner.

Requirements:




Essential:




3 Years experience in a payroll or finance-related role. Familiarity with payroll systems/software (e.g. Sage Payroll, ADP, Xero, etc.). Understanding of payroll legislation and statutory requirements. Strong numerical and data entry skills with high attention to detail. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. Good organisational and time management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.

Desirable:




Relevant qualifications such as CIPP Payroll Technician Certificate or equivalent. Experience working with pensions auto-enrolment and benefits administration. Previous experience using Fourth.
