Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Payroll / Finance Assistant to support our finance operations. This part-time role is ideal for a candidate with proven expertise in Sage Payroll and Sage Accounts, and a thorough understanding of payroll processing, pension schemes (including Nest and re-enrolment), and CIS compliance. The successful applicant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely HMRC submissions, and supporting project cost allocation across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Process weekly payroll using Sage Payroll
Manage all aspects of the CIS scheme, including monthly HMRC returns
Administer Nest Pensions, including re-enrolment duties
Allocate labour costs across multiple projects
Maintain accurate journals and entries within Sage Accounts
Prepare and manage costings using Excel spreadsheets
Essential Skills & Experience
Proficient in Sage Payroll and Sage Accounts
Strong understanding of CIS scheme and HMRC reporting
Familiarity with Nest Pensions and auto-enrolment processes
Experience in project costing and labour allocation
Competent in Excel, including formulas and cost analysis
Knowledge of journal processing and financial reporting

Tuesday & Thursday (14 hours per week), with potential to increase.Salary:
