The Role:
We're looking for an organised and proactive
Payroll & HR Officer
to join our HR team in Watford. This role is primarily payroll-focused, ensuring that timesheets and reports are created and maintained accurately. The role will also include some HR administrative duties. You'll play a vital part in ensuring staff are paid accurately and on time, while also supporting key HR functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain payroll records and handle payroll queries from employees and resolve discrepancies
Maintain employee records, contracts, and personal details.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies
Process end-to-end payroll spreadsheets with accuracy and confidentiality
Work closely with key stakeholders to minimise discrepancies
Manage the HR inbox and respond to queries in a timely manner
Handle employee absence, sickness, and holiday records
Maintain and check employee documentation and licenses
Assist with HR admin including holiday approvals and system updates
Support internal reporting and compliance tasks
Use Excel and in-house systems to manage data efficiently
