Job Description

As our Payroll Manager, you'll be the driving force behind a motivated and high-performing payroll team, ensuring every monthly and annual payroll runs smoothly, accurately, and on time. As a valued member of the Reward team, you'll balance delivering timely, consistent service with a keen eye for quality.





You'll build and nurture positive relationships both inside and outside the business, helping to shape a payroll team that's not only efficient and streamlined but truly customer focused.





Joining our dynamic People team, you'll play a key role in supporting and empowering our leaders, making payroll simple and clear for everyone. Your expertise will help translate complex payroll matters into straightforward solutions that make a real difference.

It's a permanent role offering hybrid working, with three days a week collaborating in our newly refurbished offices just 10 minutes from Birmingham Airport.

Skills Set for Success:






Proven experience managing a payroll team and delivering monthly and annual payroll processes to required timescales Experience working in a customer-focused environment Demonstrated ability to deliver continuous improvement and best practice in payroll operations Extensive practical payroll knowledge and up-to-date understanding of relevant legislation CIPP qualification or equivalent Strong proficiency with MS Office and payroll applications, including ResourceLink Ability to manage payroll data accurately, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and data protection requirements Experience producing timely reconciliations, reports, and maintaining payroll procedures and manuals High levels of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism Strong partnership skills to collaborate effectively with 1HR, Reward team, HR Operations, and external bodies such as HMRC
