This is a standalone role offering autonomy, variety, and the chance to shape payroll processes across two respected businesses in the healthcare and care services sectors.

What You'll Bring:

CIPP qualification (or equivalent experience). Proven experience in a standalone payroll role. Strong knowledge of UK payroll and pension regulations. Experience with

Sage 50 Payroll

, rostering systems, and Excel (preferred). Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Strong communication and relationship-building abilities. A proactive, independent approach to problem-solving.

About The Role

What You'll Be Doing:

Manage end-to-end payroll for multiple pay cycles across both organisations. Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and UK payroll legislation. Collaborate with HR teams to process starters, leavers, statutory payments, and deductions. Handle RTI submissions, P45s, P60s, and year-end reporting. Oversee pension auto-enrolment and liaise with pension providers. Respond to payroll queries and manage ad hoc payments when needed. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll and pension legislation. Support audits and ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures.

Required Criteria

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Experience in handling RTI submissions, P45s, P60s, and year-end reporting. Working knowledge of compliance with HMRC regulations and UK payroll legislation Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
