The opportunity
As Payroll Manager, you will lead and shape the payroll and compliance function, ensuring the accurate and compliant delivery of monthly payroll, pensions and reward processes across the business. You will play a key strategic role in driving process improvements, leading payroll-related projects and proactively advising leadership on risk and regulatory change. Managing key supplier relationships and collaborating closely with Finance, People Team and Operations, you will combine operational excellence with a strategic, forward-looking approach to payroll, reward and compliance governance.

The role
As Payroll Manager you will be the organisation's expert on all matters related to Payroll.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate payroll and people records using Fourth payroll system
Ensure Company is fully compliant with payroll and HR regulations and legislation, e.g. National Minimum Wage (NMW), accommodation, SSP, SMP, etc.
Manage and check the distribution of tronc
Prepare 4 weekly/ monthly payroll and ensure all new starters have correct documentations including Right To Work.
Manage pension scheme and ensure all eligible employees are enrolled into Company pension scheme.
Manage tax year end process in Fourth, issuing P60 and preparation of annual P11d and PSA reporting.
Provide support and resolve employees' payroll queries.
Close liaison with the payroll provider (Fourth Hospitality), Finance Department, HR and auditors on payroll related issues.
The opportunity to participate in a variety of other payroll projects.

Your experience
This position would suit someone who has successfully worked in a payroll team for a minimum of 3 years but is now ready to take responsibility for a payroll function. You will possess great interpersonal skills along with the ability to communicate with, and influence, internal and external stakeholders. It is crucial that you are accustomed to working to time critical deadlines. Your organisational and planning skills will be second to none.
