Borthwick Group is a company established in 2008, with a workforce of over 200 staff and a fleet of over 100 vans. We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join the Finance team.
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Payroll Officer to join our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in payroll administration and accounting software to contribute to our organisational efficiency and employee satisfaction.
Duties
Process employee payroll accurately and on time using payroll systems such as Sage 50 software
Manage data entry related to employee hours, deductions, benefits, and other payroll information
Oversee accounts payable functions related to payroll expenses
Reconcile payroll data and prepare reports for management review
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and organisational policies regarding payroll and employee remuneration
Maintain confidentiality of all payroll information and employee records
Assist with audits and resolve any discrepancies in payroll data
Support HR related to employee compensation and benefits administration
Essential Skills
Proficiency in payroll and SAGE 50 software, with at least one years experience
Strong data entry skills with high accuracy levels
End to end payroll Payroll experience with accounts payable processes and financial reconciliation, with at least 3 years experience
Excellent communicator with internal teams, managers and the wider business
Analytical skills to interpret payroll data and generate reports
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Strong attention to detail and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
This role would suit an experienced Payroll Officer committed to accuracy and compliance in payroll management. Applicants should possess a minimum of 3 years experience in Payroll and Accounting software systems, along with strong communication skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 28,000.00-32,000.00 per year
