We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Payroll Officer to join our public practice. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our clients. This position requires a strong understanding of payroll systems and accounting software, as well as the ability to analyse data effectively. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent organisational skills, and have experience with various payroll platforms.
Responsibilities
Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Maintain and update employee records, ensuring all data is current and accurate.
Conduct data entry tasks related to payroll, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status.
Collaborate with the clients.
Prepare reports related to payroll metrics and analyse trends to support decision-making processes.
Requirements
Proven experience in a payroll or accounting role, with a strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance.
Proficiency in using payroll systems such as Brightpay is highly desirable.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities effectively.
