Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This position requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in various accounting and human resources software. The Payroll Officer will collaborate closely with the HR department to support employee payroll inquiries and ensure timely processing of payroll.

Duties



Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Perform data entry tasks related to employee hours, deductions, and bonuses. Analyse payroll data for discrepancies and resolve any issues promptly. Maintain employee records within the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and ensure data integrity. Collaborate with the HR team to manage employee benefits and deductions. Assist in the preparation of reports related to payroll, taxes, and other financial metrics. Support accounts payable functions as needed, ensuring accurate financial reporting. Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks or PeopleSoft for efficient payroll management. Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and best practices.

Qualifications



Proven experience in a payroll or accounting role is essential. Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy. Proficiency in using Workday or similar HRIS systems is preferred. Familiarity with accounts payable processes is advantageous. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are crucial for this role. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities. A background in human resources or related fields is beneficial but not mandatory.
