This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with extensive and proven Payroll experience, ideally within the care sector. You will take overall responsibility for the payroll function, ensuring a seamless and compliant process.
What we can offer you as a Payroll Officer;
Full-time, permanent
contract (40 hours a week, with paid breaks!)
Competitive salary between
28,000 to 32,000
per annum

What your daily duties may look like as a Payroll Officer;
Manage and oversee the 4 weekly Payroll for the Acacia Group and collate and process information in relation to all aspects of payroll, which is paid on a bi-weekly basis
Ensure that all staff are paid correctly, along with updating payroll systems with up to date rates including correct pay rates, allowance values, pension deductions, NI rates and tax thresholds, ensuring a seamless and compliant process.
To provide initial Payroll support and guidance to the Front of House and General Managers and manage the Payroll inbox
Reviewing clocking in/out timesheets for all staff in the group on a weekly basis (working closely with the Front of House Managers in each of the care homes)-
Perform data entry tasks to ensure all transactions are recorded promptly.
Support and submit/respond to HMRC queries, and maintain compliance records
Handle payroll for employees across the group, including PAYE, pension contributions, and statutory submissions
Working with external accountancy firm in handling the full 4-weekly payroll cycle
Answering various Payroll or benefit queries as relevant via telephone and email and respond in a timely and professional manner.
Oversight of employee benefits related to Payroll, such as Early Pay and Cycle to Work schemes
What we need from our Payroll Officer;
Minimum 2 years experience within a Payroll capacity
Proficient in IT programmes and software (Example - Coolcare, Microsoft Office).
Knowledge of pension calculations including Salary Sacrifice schemes.
Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
Ability to multitask and can stay calm under pressure.
Excellent punctual skills.
To ensure good teamwork, it is vital you and the team can rely on each other.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently
Completion of AAT Business Finance Basics is desirable
