A vacancy has arisen for a Payroll Specialist within our Finance Department. The successful candidate will be based at Dyce, Aberdeen and will report to the Financial Controller. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the day to day management of the RWG payroll function. The role entails a single monthly payroll for both salaried and hourly paid workshop employees.

An overview of your day
Responsibility for accurate preparation and payment of monthly payrolls
Specialist in all payroll matters including tax, NI and other deductions, benefits and pension schemes to be able to provide guidance and information to employees as required
Preparation and analysis of payroll data to allow analysis of movements, trends and variances to budget/forecast
Provide assistance in budgeting and forecasting for payroll
Preparation of other payroll related submissions to HMRC
Management of Employee expenses payments
Responsible for annual payroll budgets and variance analysis.
Monthly reconciliation and reporting on Payroll related accounts
Ensuring timely payment of payroll taxes and HMRC submissions
Timely response to payroll queries
Ensure administration duties are carried out effectively and in a timely manner
Communicate effectively within the department and provide support and assistance to other staff/suppliers where appropriate
Undertake other duties as may be reasonably required to meet the needs of the business
What we need from you
No formal accountancy qualification required for the role although previous accounting experience is desired due to the financial reporting nature of the position.
Recognised Payroll qualification or demonstration of prior experience of managing a payroll function a necessity of the role.
Experience of engaging with department supervisors in relation to timesheet queries desirable.
Previous working knowledge of ADP iHCM and Oracle Fusion ERP system is preferable.
