We are an innovative and market-leading software & services company based in Chorley serving clients in the utility sector ranging from new entrants to large existing suppliers. We deliver sophisticated software solutions and managed services in a Private Cloud infrastructure, servicing both traditional and modern real-time, smart energy clients.

We operate a Hybrid working policy so you will be able to flex between working in the office and your home location to carry out this role, however during your initial training period the need to be in office with other team members will be essential.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES



Working closely with HR and Finance, a hands-on position that will require you to take full responsibility for the end to end payroll services for our growing business currently 385 employees for monthly payroll using IRIS Cascade Payroll. You will find the role affords plenty of autonomy and allows you to run the payroll function as you see appropriate.

The main duties (but not limited to) are the following: -

Collect, compile, and enter payroll data using appropriate software Calculate and post payroll deductions Process payroll by established deadlines Investigate and correct payroll discrepancies and errors Update payroll records by recording changes including auto enrolment pension, loan payments, salary increases Process new employees and terminations/resignations Calculate holiday entitlement Address employee's pay-related concerns and provide accurate payroll information Downloading new starters' details in preparation for import into the payroll system Checking overtime and bonus payments, holiday and sickness information, raising any queries with managers and chasing documents like Self-Certificates and Fit Notes Pensions and Benefit administration and deductions Verifying timesheets, ad-hoc weekly bonus payments, expenses, holiday and sickness forms. Calculating Company Sick Pay entitlements Understanding and applying all statutory payments due, i.e. SSP, SMP, SPP. Assistance with general office administration duties from time to time

ABOUT YOU



You must have:



Payroll admin experience, or a background working with numbers - for example, bookkeeping or accountancy, but key to this role is an excellent eye for detail, with a high level of accuracy. We're also looking for a sound working knowledge of admin processes, Microsoft Excel and databases, ideally HR/payroll integrated systems.
